What to plant

It is important that our garden contains only native plants so we don't bring invasive species into our community. We also must work with our climate and soil types to find plants that will successfully grow. We have listed some ideas of seeds to plant.

- Fox Sedge
- Lanceleaf Coreopsis
- Wild Quinine
- Showy Goldenrod
- Smooth Aster
- Orange Coneflower
- Prairie Dropseed
- Purple Coneflower
- Little Bluestem

A variety of plants is also necessary in order to promote biodiversity. Read about the importance of biodiversity in this graphic created by Environmental Science students.
